I started approaching photography as a self-learner, with my telephoto lens in the Emilian swampland, looking for herons and black-wingend stilts.
Afterwards, by attending courses, workshops, photo marathons and contests, I broadened my horizons, I quit the “photo hunt”, and I started telling “my story” in a more intimate and conceptual way, trying to give a personal touch to my shots.
Together with the Photo group “Il Torrione” based in Casalgrande (Reggio Emilia, Italy) I took part to several collective local exhibitions. As a group we participated in famous festival “Fotografia Europea” twice, in 2016 some of my shots were selected for a project named “24 hours: common marks between the Via Emilia and everyday life”, while in 2017 some other were shown at Scandiano Biennal Art exhibition.
Inspired by the desire to reveal the visual “tricks” of Photography, I gave birth to the personal project “ Le Metamorfosi” (Metamorphosis). While coming out from the darkness, bodies change their original meaning, like echoes of the childhood, when monster and ghost are thought to live in shadow.
On Sept. 9th 2017 “Le metamorfosi” became my first personal exhibition at the “Incontro” Gallery in Casalgrande.
